History
The Queensland Racehorse Owners' Association was founded in the late sixties at the instigation of well-known racing identity, the late George Lambert. Since that time the Association has acted as a go-between with clubs and other racing bodies, representing the rights of owners and their horses. In December 1997 The QROA became an incorporated body. A committee consisting of nine elected people, who make themselves available for re-election every three years, runs the day-to-day administration of the Association. The QROA Committee convenes meetings approximately every six weeks as well as supplying delegates to a number of sub-committees, such as Race Dates and Black Type Sub-Committees.
